Magic Maths!

Andrew Jeffery, the Mathemagician, visited St. Edmund’s this week to deliver his Maths and Magic show to the pupils from PP2 (yr 1) upwards. The Prep school pupils were amazed when Andrew was able to turn a £20 note into one million dollars and the Pre-Prep really enjoyed meeting Magic Monkey who needed help learning about 3D shapes. The children from 5th Form (yr 7) upwards were shown how number tricks work using algebra and learnt how the Fibonacci sequence can be used to roughly convert between miles and kilometres.
