Bletchley Park Code Breaker

We were delighted to welcome Captain Jerry Roberts MBE to talk to the children from years 5 to 8 as part of our regular afternoon lecture series. Captain Roberts was a member of the Bletchley Park code breaking team and he gave the children a fascinating insight into the secret world of code-breaking. The children heard how the un-sung heroes of Bletchley Park helped shorten World War II and ensured that Britain had the advantage in fighting the German invasion. The children were eager to question the Captain further at the end of the talk, this was one day that school finished too early for them!
