The Drama department is a thriving department within the school and offers all the pupils many opportunities to engage within all areas of the stage.

In Form 8, there is more focus on Theatre Studies through academic and practical work and this enables pupils to develop approaches and techniques ready to embark successfully on GCSE Drama, if they choose to forward their study in Form 9.   Pupils learn to collaborate with others, think analytically and evaluate effectively.

Our Senior Drama students also attend professional and amateur theatrical productions and develop the habit of analysing them critically from the point of view of performer, technician, director, and designer. There is ample opportunity for everyone to perform in the Senior stage productions, both on stage and behind the scenes. Recent Senior productions have included: Grease, the Musical, Shrek, Oliver, Legally Blonde and Goodnight Mister Tom.
