Geography

There has never been a better or more important time to study geography.

With the growing importance of issues such as climate change, migration, environmental degradation, spatial epidemiology and inequalities, geography is one of the most relevant courses you could choose to study. It helps pupils unpick key global issues and enhances their understanding of complex geographical issues.

Geography is a thriving subject at St.Edmund’s with a high uptake at GCSE. Pupils currently follow the Edexcel specification A, which provides a balance of human and physical topics. Pupils all enjoy the residential field trip which explores the coastline of South Devon along with some topical urban development issues in Plymouth.
