Lower Prep Bring Winnie the Pooh to Life

Before half term, our Lower Prep pupils in Forms 3 and 4 delighted audiences with a wonderful performance of Winnie the Pooh KIDS. Bringing A.A. Milne’s much-loved literary classic to life on stage, the pupils performed with enthusiasm, confidence and plenty of charm.

This year, we tried a slightly different approach, with several pupils sharing the main roles. This gave more children the opportunity to experience taking on larger parts and developing their confidence in the spotlight. It was lovely to see so many pupils rise to the challenge and make each character their own.

Our Form 3 pupils made a brilliant buzzy bee ensemble, adding energy, movement and fun throughout the production. With sweet songs, lively choreography and plenty of memorable moments, the performance was a real treat for all who came to watch. Special thanks must go to Mrs da Silva –  for her wonderful choreography and to all the staff who helped bring the production together.

Director Mrs Darrington commented: “We are incredibly proud of all the pupils. Performing on stage at such a young age is no small challenge, yet they embraced it with confidence and enthusiasm. Their talent and skill shone through, and we are excited to see these students continue to grow through St Edmund’s performing arts programme in the years ahead.”

Winnie the Pooh remains a favourite across generations, and our pupils embraced the story with enthusiasm, creativity and confidence. Well done to them all!
