Academic Scholarships

St. Edmund's is looking for pupils who enjoy academic study and are keen to stretch themselves beyond the curriculum.  Academic Scholarship candidates should display intellectual curiosity, be diligent in their approach to their studies and go above and beyond where they can.

For external candidates, the formal entrance assessments (English and maths) in Year 6 for 11+ candidates and in Year 8 for 13+ candidates will be used to identify children suitable for the Academic Scholarships awarded for entry to Year 7 and Year 9.  Parents will be notified at the point of offer, if their child has been successful in achieving an Academic Scholarship.

For internal candidates, class assessments (English and maths) in the Michaelmas Term of Year 6 and Year 8 will be used to identify children suitable for an Academic Scholarship Award.  Parents will be informed by letter in the Lent Term if their child has been successful.

No application forms are required.
